How to Use Canva Affinity

Getting started with the new Affinity app is pretty simple. First, download the app from the Affinity website for Windows or Mac. Once installed, sign in using your Canva account. The app will open into a unified workspace with three leading studios: Pixel for photo editing, Vector for illustration, and Layout for page design.

You can switch between studios with a single click, and even customize your own studio by pinning favorite tools and panels. To export your work to Canva, hit the export button and choose “Send to Canva.” If you’re a Canva Premium user, AI tools like image generation and cleanup will be available at your disposal directly inside the Affinity interface.

Affinity has added new features to its software, such as image trace for converting raster images into scalable vectors, and glitch-style filter brushes in Pixel mode. Notably, the iPad version of the all-in-one Affinity app is also in development and is expected to arrive early in 2026.
